Double Action
Silhouette Soft includes bidirectional absorbable thread cones, which are produced in the US. This unique treatment delivers maximum impact by way of two combined actions:
- Lifting effect: As soon as the suture is applied, the treatment provider will reshape the target area by compressing and elevating the facial tissue. This allows for the creation of a discreet, natural looking and immediate lifting effect.
- Regenerating effect: A key component of the suture is polylactic acid. When this component is absorbed in the treated areas, it will help to restore shapeliness to the face. It produces a gradual and natural regenerating effect.
How does it Work?
Silhouette Soft will not only restore smoother and more toned skin to counter the effects of aging, but will also help to create a more shapely face. Without any use of plastic surgery, the treatment combines lifting and regenerating effects to create facial rejuvenation.
The lifting effect occurs immediately at the time of adjusting the suture. Once the suture has been inserted, the treatment provider applies slight pressure in the target area. With this pressure, the provider will reshape the surface of the skin in a desirable manner and make it visibly smoother.
Polylactic acid in Silhouette Soft is completely biocompatible with human beings, and also biodegradable. This allows for the safe use of this application to create regeneration of facial tissue. When the suture is applied, the polylactic acid will stimulate the new production of collagen in the deeper layers of the skin. This will improve volume in the depleted areas, restoring facial shape in a gradual and natural manner.

Quick Procedure
Silhouette Soft treatment can be completed in about 30 minutes flat. The treatment provider will apply a small local anesthetic, and then insert the suture beneath the skin to a depth of about 3 to 5 mm. No incisions are involved because the suture is inserted using a fine needle. The suture is held in its place with absorbable cones oriented in opposite directions.
Once the suture has been applied, the provider will perform a gentle compression of the facial tissue to reshape it by hand and to create the required lifting effect. The non-inserted ends of the suture are cut off at this point. Depending on the patient’s needs and the extent of treatable area, one or more sutures may be applied.
