CoolSculpting is effective in getting rid of unwanted and stubborn fat cells by freezing it. The device exposes fat cells and tissues to frigid temperatures around 15 degrees. The frigid temperature can destroy fat cells. Your body’s natural flushing process takes care of the destroyed fat cells.
CoolSculpting is effective in getting rid of fat. It’s natural for you to wonder whether it can help you lose weight. The thing is CoolSculpting can help you reduce fat, but it is not a weight loss treatment. You may drop a few pounds in the weeks following the treatment as fat cells are eliminated by the body.

Changes in Your Body During Weight Loss
When you use diet, exercise, or weight loss surgery to lose weight, the size of fat cells shrinks. Size of fat cells is smaller when you burn more energy while eating less. However, the cells are still present. Weight loss doesn’t remove fat cells from the body.
In fact, your genes predetermine the amount of fat in your body. The amount of fat present in people as teenagers is the same amount of fat in their adulthood. Only the size of the fat cells changes. Fat cells become smaller when you drop weight. Cells grow larger if you put weight back on and don’t make an effort to lose it. Basically, you gain weight but not fat cells.
How Does Fat Occur?
Fat comes from the food you eat. It can be confusing to realize that weight can increase even if the body doesn’t create additional fat cells. Food moves through the digestive system every time you eat. Liver turns fat from food into energy that your body uses.

What Does CoolSculpting Do?
CoolSculpting is the same as weight loss process. You don’t shrink fat cells during CoolSculpting treatment. You effectively destroy them. The procedure can effectively get rid of 20 – 25% fat cells from the treated area. You should know that CoolSculpting only affects fat in the treated area. In addition, fat from an untreated area cannot travel to replace fat in the target area.
