RF Energy Based Lipolysis
BodyTite is an energy assisted liposuction that works in a similar way as laser liposuction. However, the difference here is that BodyTite makes use of radio frequency (RF) energy to melt the stubborn fat tissue, making it easier to remove. The melted fat can be dislodged with a thin cannula in a less traumatic way, which reduces discomfort, downtime and post-op swelling.
BodyTite performs another function apart from fat reduction. The deep tissue heating due to RF energy also helps to firm up the tissue and tighten the skin. The skin and body temperatures are regulated with the help of an automated system. Controlled heating ensures that large volume contraction is consistent, avoiding overtreating or undertreating of the targeted sites.
Real time temperature monitoring can be performed in different areas of the body, including deep fat sites where laser temperature readers cannot reach. The treatment is more focused, and deep fat tissue layers of up to 2 inches can be easily treated.
How does it Work?
With BodyTite, the patients can reduce fat without leaving behind saggy, wrinkly skin. They are left with results that are similar to plastic surgery, but with no scars and less downtime. The procedure works on a similar principle as liposuction in as much as it reduces fat pockets. The procedure will melt the fat first so that tissue trauma is minimized while removing it by aspiration.
Once the targeted fat cells are eliminated, the surgeon will deliver focal RF energy underneath the skin to generate controlled heat. This gentle heating process will trigger the production of new collagen and elastin, leading to increased skin volume and tighter, firmer skin. Results with this technique are more natural looking and sustainable because the skin tightening and volumizing occurs gradually from within.
Who is a Good Candidate?
Anyone who is unhappy with the appearance of unsightly fat bulges and loose skin in certain areas of the body, but wants to avoid an excisional surgery, may be a candidate for BodyTite.
