Minimally Invasive Technique
Micro liposuction involves a combination of very small incisions and tiny cannulas to ensure that the procedure becomes minimally invasive. Recovery period is substantially reduced and scarring is minimal. Like traditional liposuction plastic surgery, micro liposuction focuses on areas where the fat does not resolve through diet or exercise.
But where micro liposuction differentiates itself is in the use of much smaller surgical instruments, which makes the procedure minimally invasive and allows for the treatment of sensitive areas such as the face. Cannula size in case of micro liposuction will range from 1.5 mm to 6 mm in diameter. Unlike large cannulas, this size allows for more uniform contouring and does not create unsightly ripples or lumps in the skin. Some surgeons may begin the procedure using larger cannulas and gradually decrease their size as the fat gets removed. Very tiny cannulas give the surgeon fine grain control over the final shape of the treated area.
