Hyaluronic Acid (HA) Fillers
Hyaluronic acid is naturally found in the skin and is useful for keeping the skin hydrated and plump. HA dermal fillers are gel-like and soft in nature. They offer temporary results lasting for 6 – 12 months. The body naturally and gradually absorbs the HA particles. You won’t feel discomfort since most HA fillers come infused with lidocaine (a topical numbing agent).

They tend to last longer in most patients up to 12 months.
Calcium hydroxylapatite works in stimulating production of natural collagen as well and is used for wrinkles and deeper lines. Radiesse is an FDA approved calcium hydroxylapatite filler injectable.
Poly-L-lactic Acid Fillers
Poly-L-lactic acid is a biocompatible and biodegradable synthetic substance. It is proven safe to be used in the body. These fillers are categorized as collagen stimulators since their main purpose is to smooth fine lines. The dermal filler gets absorbed by the body within a few days. Results can last for as long as 2 years following the treatment. Sculptra Aesthetic is an FDA approved dermal filler.
Polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA) Fillers
Polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA) is a biocompatible synthetic substance. PMMA is in the form of a tiny ball or microsphere in dermal fillers. It remains beneath the skin to indefinitely provide support. Collagen is present in PMMA fillers to provide firmness and structure. Bellafill or Artefill is an FDA approved PMMA filler.
