Nano Fat Grafting
The elasticity and structure of the skin begins weakening with age causing wrinkles, fine lines, and loss of volume in the face among other signs of aging. You don’t need to look further than nano fat grafting if you are looking to improve facial areas with short recovery time and minimal risk.
Modern Body Contouring & Laser Center, led by board certified plastic surgeons Dr. Burton M. Sundin and Dr. Reps B. Sundin, provides nano fat grafting to patients in Northern Virginia, Washington DC, Vienna, McLean, Loudoun, Ashburn, Tysons Corner, Reston, Arlington, Chevy Chase, Richmond, Fredericksburg, and surrounding locations.
Understanding Nano Grafting
Micro fat grafting or nano fat grafting is a form of fat transfer procedure which involves the use of ultra-thin cannulas for moving tiny amounts of fat from an area with surplus body fat to the more delicate areas of the hands and face. The procedure provides a softer, smoother, and more rejuvenated appearance.
Nano fat grafting helps in skin rejuvenation since purified fat cells contain growth factors that stimulate collagen production and regeneration. This allows the skin to appear more hydrated, youthful, and fuller.
Nano Fat Grafting Mechanism
Your skin is improved through nano fat grafting by:
- Reducing the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, and creases
- Adding volume to hollowed areas, such as the mid-face and cheeks
- Lessening the appearance of scars and discoloration
- Help the skin feel firmer and tighter
- Reduce the appearance of crepe skin
- Rejuvenate hand appearance
Nano fat grafting is similar to structural fat grafting. However, they are not the same procedure. Structural fat grafting involves restoring overall contour and volume for improving the facial structure.
Types of Conditions
Nano fat grafting is majorly used for reducing the signs of aging. It improves the overall skin tone and texture as well by reducing the signs of scars, blemishes, and discoloration. The treatment is usually recommended for the face but can be used for the hands, chest, and neck among other body areas. Nano fat grafting can be performed in combination with other procedures, such as structural fat grafting and facelift.
Nano Fat Grafting Procedure
Nano fat grafting is generally performed as an outpatient procedure. The procedure makes use of a fine cannula for harvesting fat from the hips, buttocks, thighs, and lower abdomen. Nano fat transfer requires a tiny amount of fat.
Micro fat particles are then separated into a smooth liquid concentration after processing and refining in a centrifuge. The purified concentrate is filtered and injected in the desired area through an ultra-fine cannula. Precise injections are used in this procedure for creating detailed changes.
Results and Recovery
Surgeons recommend patients to not touch the treated area for a minimum of 24 hours. However, patients should resume their normal activities unless advised by their doctor. Injected fat requires time to adjust, which is why it may take some time to see full results. However, there are a lot of patients that begin noticing the first signs of improvement within the first few weeks.
