FaceTite vs. Facelift
FaceTite is a non-surgical contouring solution for the face and small areas of the body, which can create results similar to a facelift without excisional surgery.
FaceTite makes use of targeted radio frequency (RF) energy to tighten the skin from within the dermis. Unlike facelift, a FaceTite procedure can be performed in-office, using only local anesthesia.
Unlike facelift, no incisions are involved in FaceTite treatment and only tiny pin pricks will be made that will heal quickly. Results will continue to improve over the next several weeks a new collagen fibers are generated within the deeper tissue. During the initial consultation, the surgeon will explain the differences between FaceTite and facelift plastic surgery.
Modern Body Contouring & Laser Center (MBody), led by considerate and board certified plastic surgeons, provides BodyTite to patients in Northern Virginia, Washington DC, Vienna, McLean, Loudoun, Ashburn, Tysons Corner, Reston, Arlington, Chevy Chase, Richmond, Fredericksburg, and surrounding locations.
Differences between FaceTite and Facelift
FaceTite can be termed as a non-surgical version of a traditional facelift plastic surgery. The RF energy applied through FaceTite procedure will penetrate the deeper facial tissue to melt excess fat and shrink loose facial tissue and skin. It will also stimulate collage growth to volumize the face and reduce the aging signs from the face.
Facelift plastic surgery, on the other hand, is a major procedure involving excisional surgery to provide subtle lift to the sagging facial tissue, redistribute facial fat, and tighten underlying weak facial muscles. The loose facial skin is trimmed away at the end. The procedure is performed through incisions, which will create some scarring in discreet locations such as the hairline and natural facial creases.
Which procedure to choose?
Depending on the severity of skin laxity and their personal aesthetic needs, a patient may choose FaceTite or a facelift. The minimally invasive FaceTite procedure will avoid scarring and a longer recovery period for people with mild to moderate skin laxity in the face.
FaceTite vs. Facelift Results
A FaceTite procedure can result in noticeable improvement in fullness and laxity of the skin that will be roughly equivalent to one-third the effects of a full traditional facelift surgery. The effects of FaceTite cannot be as dramatic as those of a facelift surgery, but the results are natural looking and will last years.
FaceTite can be used anywhere above the shoulders, but is commonly used to rejuvenate the:
- Jowls
- Neck
- Nasolabial folds
- Brows
- Cheeks
- Eyes
- Mouth
- Forehead
- Jaw line
Safety
FaceTite is a sub-dermal procedure that carries very little risk of nerve damage. In comparison to a facelift, the FaceTite procedure will be safer and more comfortable. Anesthesia risks, infection risks, and all the risks that are typically associated with a major surgery such as facelift will be avoided in case of FaceTite.
